Offering a workshop for beginning oil painters April 23rd, 24th and 25th.  This workshop will get you up and running with oils and covers color theory, composition, lighting a still life, underpainting and the painting of a simple still life. Geared to the beginner and intermediate painter who needs a good foundation!

Introduction to Drawing

February 16 – March 23 (Tuesdays), 10:00am - 12:00pm
Cost: $115 Members, $130 Non-Members

Learn basic drawing skills. Skills in rendering basic perspective, negative and positive space, drawing contours, and seeing and rendering value will be taught. Students will work in pencil and charcoal in this beginning class.

Paint from Nature
Instructor: Toni Treverton
February 16 – March 23 (Tuesdays), 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Cost: $115 Members, $130 Non-Members

Heighten your awareness of form and texture using objects from nature to create compositions that explore size, shape, color and form resulting in an end product that is both real and abstract! Students may use: oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, or oil pastel. Students must provide their own material.

 Beginning to Intermediate Watercolor
Instructor: Toni Treverton
February 16 – March 23 (Tuesdays), 6:00 - 9:00pm
Cost: $115 Members, $130 Non-Members

Learn to use watercolor techniques to create 5-7 small artworks and a still life using objects of your choice. Explore color theory, composition, and other elements and principals of art while learning watercolor techniques. Students must provide their own material.

Intermediate Drawing

February 17 – March 24 (Wednesdays), 10:00am - 12:30pm
Cost: $115 Members, $130 Non-Members

Strengthen basic concepts of the picture plane, sight size measuring, and using aids such as view finder and grid. Skills in rendering basic perspective, negative and positive space, drawing contours, and seeing and rendering value will be sharpened. Students must provide their own material.*
